This page is a draft
It describes how Dallas Hoop Scene works, and it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. If something here matters to a decision you are making, email tyler@dallashoopscene.com and ask.
Dallas Hoop Scene films and sells high school basketball footage in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Tyler Gage is the Founder & Sole Owner. Questions about anything on this page go to tyler@dallashoopscene.com.
We count, without knowing who you are:
We use these counts to see whether changes to the site help people book. They stay on our own server and are not shared with anyone. We do not use advertising pixels or third-party analytics.
We hold:
Your card number never reaches us. Payments go to Square, who handle the card and send us only whether it worked.
We hold:
Game footage is the product: families buy the film of their player. We also post clips publicly to Instagram and YouTube. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian signs for this, and either of you can ask us to take it down. See below.
We hold:
Your PIN is stored one-way hashed, so nobody here can read it, including Tyler. Texts only go to crew who have agreed to them, and STOP ends them at once.
We do not sell your information and we do not trade it. These services hold some of it because they do a job we need:
We also hand footage and a player’s name to college coaches and scouting services where that is the point of the product, and only with a signed release.
Email tyler@dallashoopscene.comwith what you want removed. A parent or guardian can ask for a player’s footage, name and handle to come off the public site, Instagram and YouTube.
What we can and cannot do, honestly: we control this website, our Instagram and our YouTube, and we will take it down there. We cannot pull back a file somebody has already downloaded, and a repost by somebody else is theirs, not ours. Records we need for tax and accounting stay.
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. The players we film are high school age; a parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not email about it.
